Transit Options
Lassen Senior Service – (530) 257-2113
This service is available to the senior and disabled population. Transportation is available for trips to the Lassen Senior Services nutrition sites located in Susanville, Westwood and Doyle. In addition transportations services are also provided for medical appointments, shopping, banking and post office. Additionally it provides transportation from Susanville to Reno on Tuesdays and Thursdays for medical appointments, Appointments must be made at least three days in advance.
Modoc Transit Agency – (530) 233-6410
The Modoc Sage Stage provides curb-to-curb services for Modoc County citizens, seniors and disabled residents. In addition, they provide an "Inter-City" transportation route which makes connection in Reno, Nevada to the Geryhound bus depot, the Veteran's Hospital, Reno-Tahoe Airport, and the Reno Transit services. The Lassen Transit Service Agency has entered into a financial agreement with the Modoc Transit Agency and provides for a significant amount of funding for this very worthwhile service. The "pick-up" location in Susanville is located at the south parking lot next to WalMart on Riverside Drive. You must contact the Modoc Sage Stage office in order to schedule your ride in advance as space is very limited.
Greyhound Bus Service
The Modoc Sage Stage is an authorized ticket agent for Greyhound. You may purchase your bus ticket(s) through them by calling (530) 233-6410
You may also obtain tickets by mail for trips departing from Susanville if you purchase them at least 10 mailing days in advance. However, Tickets by mail may be purchased through Ticket Center on Greyhound.com or by calling the Telephone Information Center at 1-800-231-2222.
The Greyhound bus stop is located at the south parking lot next to WalMart on Riverside Drive. Remember, Greyhound bus tickets are not sold at this location.
