Highway 36 Town Hill Safety Task Force

In March 2004, the LCTC formed the Highway 36 Town Hill Safety Taskforce.  The Taskforce reviews the current status of Highway 36 at Town Hill and makes recommendations to the LCTC, City of Susanville, County of Lassen, State Agencies and the public at large that would enhance the safety of Town Hill and the Community.

The task force was instrumental in successfully completing safety projects to the Town Hill area.  Recent accomplishments recommended by the Taskforce include the installation of flashing speed signs at the top of Town Hill, the installation of the barrier wall, and improvements to the Highway including shoulder widening and realignment of Prattville Road.   With these important safety projects completed, the Task Force moved to dissolve itself at the October 28, 2009 regular meeting.  The LCTC concurred at its November 9, 2009 regular meeting.
